RedHill Media puts together another camera crew in Madrid for a corporate shoot – this time Microsoft

RedHill Media's Phillip Stark runs camera during a studio interview at Telecinco

Bruno White Entertainment in Orlando, Florida recently hired RedHill Media to execute a series of  interviews at Spains #1 private television station, Telecinco. The interviews, contracted by Microsoft, covered Telecinco’s use of their Silverlight web streaming software.

BWE producer Bob Johannsen had this to say about RedHill Media’s work:

“We were very happy with RedHill Media on our recent shoot in Madrid. The production went very smoothly and stayed on schedule despite the usual myriad of last-minute changes that we needed to adapt to.  Ben, Phil, and the team always took the extra steps to make sure the results were not only good, but perfect.  For us, that puts them well in the top tier of the many fine production companies we have worked with internationally.  I’m happy to recommend them to others, and for my next shoot in Madrid, I hope RedHill will be there to help again.”

videmic in blackbook magazine BlackBook Magazine gave a nudge today to our new web series, Videmic, by distributing our pilot video on their web site. The  show,  hosted by Karina Stenquist of Mobuzz TV fame,  takes an irreverent quirky look at Web TV and viral videos.

We’ve already gotten some great feedback from viewers as well as web television industry leaders. Hopefully, this exposure will help us in our quest for additional distribution partners, financial backing, and press coverage.

For anyone interested in helping out – we’re always looking for collaborators and partners. Just shoot us an email!

Phil

PS:  For those of you unfamiliar with Black Book, here’s a bit of info:

Jay McInerney, “The Revolution Will Be Accessorized,” 2006

BlackBook is the insider’s guide to where style and substance intersect in popular culture today. BlackBook provides sophisticated, relevant, and visually stunning takes on restaurants, nightlife, travel, fashion, Hollywood, entertainment, and the arts.

Interview with Baltasar Garzon secured by RedHill Media production services & camera crews in Madrid, Spain

Admin2 | June 8, 2009
Baltasar Garzon - Spain's most famous judge

Baltasar Garzon - Spain's most famous judge

New prime-time NBC current affairs show “The Wanted”, from production company Teddy Bright productions called RedHill producer Ben Dornan late last month. They were having problems tying down a telephone interview with Spanish crusading superjudge Baltasar Garzón for a forthcoming show about a renowned international terrorist mastermind.

Garzón is famous among the news gathering community worldwide for not talking to foreign media – and has a specific policy of not talking about current cases. Nevertheless, we took up the challenge, hit the phones, and took the direct route  by heading straight down to his office at  the Audiencia Nacional in central Madrid. After a few hours of sweet talking staff, secretaries, and the great man himself, the crucial telephone interview was secured.

Charlie Ebersol, one of the show’s producers was understandably grateful, “It went really well. Great work today. Thank you so much!”

So there you have it. RedHill can open doors that otherwise might stay firmly locked. For all your production service, research, and fixing needs please don’t hesitate to call on us!

In April 2009, RedHill Media worked as local producers for an American Airlines video promoting Madrid as a fantastic tourist destination. Director Tracy Helms of Unleaded and his cameraman Marc Andre Chartrand captured amazing images of local stores, museums, restaurants, and much  more using the new Canon 5D Mark II cameras, while Barcelona freelancer and video artist Dan Dubassy focused on recording breathtaking time lapses of the Spanish capital.

RedHill Media sourced gear, acquired permits, hired additional crew, handled shoot logistics and transportation, and other production fixing services.

It was an awesome shoot and we hope to see the Unleaded team back in Madrid again soon!

Phil & Ben

Admin2 | April 20, 2009

Well, so far we’re re-created Chicago and Japan for the Takeaway TV web series, and last weekend it was Vietnam’s turn! We spent the weekend shooting on location with a local actress:  Vietnamese-American Jane Ngo. It was an awesome shoot! A special thank you to Marta and Alvaro for offering the location (and especially Marta for the coffee, chocolate, and cakes!).  Production photos below!

Shooting on location in Madrid, Spain for McGraw Hill web series

Admin2 | April 14, 2009

Hey everyone – Phil here! We’re now well into production on the McGraw Hill Takeaway.TV series. After months of writing and getting final approvals on our 60 original scripts, it’s truly exciting to see it all finally  come  together! This week we’re  running around Madrid like madmen getting props and scouting locations. Below you’ll find images of us shooting with Ross Matray on location in Madrid, Spain. The location had to look  like “Chicago…” We threw in a little art and money to spice it up–check out the the Lichtenstein poster on the left and the dollar bill poster with Al Pacino as  president on the right. We also felt a glass door in the background would give a Frank Loyd Wright touch… ;-)

Shooting on location in Madrid, Spain for Takeaway.tv project

Admin2 | April 9, 2009
Phillip Stark on camera

Phil Stark shooting actress Yuka Sánchez

Japanese doll

This shoot called for character described as “a young Japanese photographer and graphic designer,” so Phil and Ben created a little corner of Tokyo in a South Madrid apartment building.

The set was relatively simple but “cuidadado hasta el último detalle.” (dressed to the last detail).

As with the majority of their web shoots, Phil and Ben try to work as light as possible while”multi-skilling” across all departments.

Ben Dornan directs actress Yuka Sánchez

The lighting was achieved with 1 Kino 4 X 2 and a 1K red head with bounce board.

All went great and the guys are looking forward to recreating interior locations for Chicago, Hanoi, Vancouver, LA and Buenos Aires  – all from their home  base  in Madrid!
